ADMARES received two awards for the Burj Al Arab Terrace

European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS) has revealed the biennial European Steel Design Awards for most creative and outstanding use of steel in architecture and construction from 11 European countries. ADMARES won the prestigious prize for Finland as the turnkey provider and steel contractor for the pioneering Burj Al Arab Terrace, as well as the Public Award for the same project.

This year, for the first time in the history of the ECCS, a Public Award was also presented. Over 250.000 votes were given on the ECCS social media pages and by the majority of the votes, ADMARES also won the Public Award with the Burj Al Arab Terrace.

The Burj Al Arab Terrace, located in Dubai, was developed together with Sigge Architects, Kudos Dsign, Sweco Structures Ltd and Bluetech Finland Ltd for Jumeirah Group. ADMARES finished the construction of the exclusive, one-of-a-kind Terrace in record time and since its opening in May 2016 it has set a new standard for luxury and marine construction. The 10,000 m2 Terrace includes a 612 m2 freshwater pool, an 828 m2 saltwater infinity pool, 32 private cabanas, 400 sun loungers and a restaurant. Inside, a second level incorporates 5,000 m2 of high-specification retail space, VIP areas, locker rooms, shower and other facilities, as well as technical spaces. The award is dedicated to the owners, the architects, the engineers, and the steelwork contractor.
