Vice President Engineering

ADMARES is industrializing the manufacturing of homes. Together with our partners Porsche Consulting, MHP – A Porsche Company, Siemens, and Edag Group, we are developing an industrialized home-manufacturing technology where buildings are designed, engineered, and produced with the same discipline as industrial products. Engineering is a critical part of that equation.

We are looking for a VP Engineering to join our team in Turku.

As a VP Engineering, responsible for developing and leading ADMARES’ Engineering department. 

The priorities for this position include strategic planning and development of core capabilities. Also developing and maintaining standardised working methods and documentation is part of the job as well as quality assurance.  A problem-solving capability is a must. 

You will carry overall responsibility for Engineering department. You will lead a team, which concentrates on Electrical, Structural, HVAC engineering as well as NX design, you act as a supervisor. 

You will act as ADMARES’ internal authority on Engineering.

Responsibility areas

  1. Develops and maintains procedures and methods to ensure efficient and uniform design and engineering work and documentation, and that quality standards are met.
  2. Provides infrastructure and management support for Lead Designers to act as system experts and team leaders for their subordinates and sub-contractors
  3. Responsible for the overhead budget of the engineering department (incl. software, training, potential investments, etc.)
  4. Ensures that all stakeholders receive technical documentation and specifications as needed in ADMARES’ projects 
  5. Builds, develops and manages the engineering team and a subcontractor roster, to be able to carry out needed engineering tasks. Is also responsible for design and engineering resource planning. 

What we expect from the candidate

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in a relevant engineering discipline 
  • The ability to think logically and to work in a systematic and organized manner 
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Fluent in Finnish and English 
  • Good overall communication skills and ability to express oneself clearly in writing
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in technical field, preferably from manufacturing industry 
  • Knowledge of CAD and PLM systems is a benefit 
  • Knowledge of construction industry is a benefit

Industrial thinking is a strong advantage. Curiosity and discipline are mandatory.
