Custom designed and built to the highest quality levels, ADMARES has delivered a 6000 m2 private floating residence
Working discreetly behind closed doors, within a state-of-the-art marine construction facility in western Finland, ADMARES was commissioned by a private client to deliver the turnkey project, with the aim of creating a unique, ultra-luxurious floating villa.
Allowing both owners and guests the opportunity to indulge in a luxurious experience, the floating villa is the first of its kind in the world. On board the living and guest facilities include a private spa with sauna and steam room, relaxation lounges, changing areas and treatment rooms as well as terraces, outdoor living spaces and al fresco dining areas.
The ADMARES cutting-edge technical specification provides mobility and flexibility, allowing the villa to be moved to a remote natural location where it uses it’s own independent power, waste treatment facilities and green energy with minimum disturbance to the environment. The villa can also be moored permanently to a waterfront location where it functions like a conventional building with normal access via road and walkways and has regular connections to land-based power and utilities.
The first phase of floating villa’s construction began in Summer 2016 and the work was completed in a short time frame, with ADMARES working in close collaboration with several Finnish companies including Kudos Dsign and Sigge Architects.
The project has been a showcase for advanced technology and engineering with all the manufacturing and outfitting being completed in Finland. In addition, the floating villa features numerous Finnish made products including elevators by KONE and A/C units by Koja.
“Great buildings are usually the result of a visionary client and working together with project partners who share the same ambition and passion”, commented ADMARES CEO Mikael Hedberg. He added, “This really has been an inspiring and rewarding construction project on all levels. It was a great honour to win the project, which was again undertaken with a high percentage of the construction taking place in Finland. The project presented ADMARES at its best and gave the extended project team an opportunity to design and build another technically advanced and innovative structure, where high quality interior design and architecture was a pre-requisite”.
